Women United is a powerful, global network within United Way of 70,000+ women leaders across more than 165 communities and six countries, all focused on building stronger communities.
Like United Way, Women United fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community. Our network of respected business and community leaders provide the building blocks for a better life and a stronger community for women and children.
Advocacy and philanthropy are the heart of Women United. The group pools the time, talent, and financial resources of its members to bring to the forefront the positive impact which women can have on a community. Members’ dues and donations fund community grants that the general membership vet, that ultimately service the most vulnerable women and children in our community.
Since 2002, Women United has invested and led the allocation of $3 million here at home to fix local problems, and our volunteers give their time and talent to address our community’s most critical issue – poverty.
Women United is a network like no other: doing more, raising more, and going deeper and broader to make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
