We are excited to share that the Louisiana Women’s Policy and Research Commission (LWPRC) statewide Listening Tour is coming to New Orleans on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Kingsley House.
This “Candid Conversation” is one of several the LWPRC, which advises the governor on women’s issues, will have with women across the state. Each conversation is a chance for LWPRC to better understand women’s aspirations for Louisiana, the concerns they have, and what they believe might make a difference in improving our well-being in the state. As chair of this commission, I can testify to the critical importance of its work!
We need you, your friends, family, and colleagues at this event to ensure women with diverse experiences are represented and heard. Find more information on the conversation in the attached flier and let us know if you can make it by registering here.
Breakfast and coffee will be provided. Community organizations will also be on hand to help connect attendees to local resources.
I hope you will be able to join us for an open conversation on how we can improve life for women across Louisiana. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or for more information.
