Ladira James graduated from Baton Rouge Magnet High School, and went on to pursue a Bachelors of psychology degree at the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University. She furthered her studies at Xavier University of Louisiana where she received a double Master’s in School Counseling as well at Clinical Mental Health Counseling and became a licensed school counselor through the state of Louisiana. She is currently a doctoral candidate working on her doctorate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Education and Supervision at the University of Holy Cross New Orleans. Outside of academia, Ladira serves as the Executive Director and a Mental and Behavioral Health Counselor Professional at Allstar Community Care, secretary of the North Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, youth ministry director at Second Baptist Church of West Baton Rouge, liturgical dance instructor at St. Paul The Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoys volunteering in many capacities especially in public schools. “My determination states that I want to live my life being a vessel and making a difference in the lives of others.”
