Grant Writing Workshop Series in Partnership with Fidelity Bank New Orleans East Branch 4-Week Course Curriculum

Course Focus: This series will focus on providing participants with the knowledge and understanding of the foundational elements of a grant, how to develop budgeting, how to apply the LOGIC model framework to create a work plan, how to research and identify funding mechanisms (grants and funders), and how to technically write a proposal to respond to the criteria of the grant.

Course Overview: In this 4-week course, participants will learn the essential knowledge and skills to develop effective grant to fund non-profit organizations. In this course, you will connect with and expert facilitator and your peers to learn the practical skills needed to: build the key components of a competitive grant proposal, develop a well-organized budget, and identify a targeted list of funding prospects. You will be encouraged to approach your proposal from the funder’s perspective and to think critically about what makes a compelling pitch. To accommodate diversity in learning styles, the four weeks are grounded in project-based learning and include individual writing time, self-paced research, small group discussions, and peer activities.
