FestiGals Women’s Weekend Experience

The 2018 FestiGals Weekend will bring women of all ages and backgrounds together for an enjoyable experience that will feature authentic New Orleans activities, designed for women, by women. This is a special time here in New Orleans as we commemorate the Tricentennial of our city’s founding. Come make history with us as we celebrate YOU!!!

Saturday, June 23

9:30 – 10:30 AM – Timeless Treasures Breakfast & Tour at MS RAU Antiques, Presented by Two Chicks Walking Tours, and a visit to The Historic New Orleans Collection.

Enjoy light bites, mimosas and an exclusive tour of one of Royal Street’s most elite antique and art galleries, followed by a visit to an extraordinary Tricentennial Exhibition.

  1. Vieux Carre Tour by Two Chicks Walking Tours

Join Two Chicks Walking Tours as they explore the Vieux Carre with a distinctly feminine lens. New Orleans women have shaped the history of this fascinating city in incredible ways and this two-hour tour will focus on them and their unique contributions. A featured cocktail will also be included to toast the ladies to whom we owe so much. Stroll with us, won’t you?

  1. Steamboat Natchez Cruise

As the Natchez glides past the French Quarter and through one of the world’s most active ports, you begin to understand the magic of the experience. For all its history and romance, the excitement of riding a steamboat is as real and rich and genuine now as it was a century ago. Come aboard, sip a cocktail, and enjoy New Orleans hospitality…Steamboat Style!

7:00 PM – Dinner at Tujague’s with Louisiana Eats! Host Poppy Tooker

Hear about Madame Bégué, the New Orleans woman who created the Brunch in 1863, and learn how she influenced 19th Century Creole cuisine. (Watch out for Tujague’s cross-dressing ghost, Julian Eltinge!) *Must be able to walk upstairs to the second floor.
