She is responsible for identifying critical funding that supports the Aarón Sánchez Impact Fund (ASIF), which uplifts the lives of Latino youth through food, as well as overseeing the Aarón Sánchez Scholarship Fund (ASSF) and other grant programs. Prior to her work with Chef Aarón Sánchez, Jennifer led the Louisiana Hospitality Foundation as executive director and oversaw $3.6 million in grants and services to thousands of people in need. Jennifer is a passionate professional whose many years of nonprofit leadership, fundraising programs, and project management experience not only supports Aarón Sánchez Philanthropies, but also serves as the bedrock of her varied volunteer work with Team Gleason, Emeril Lagasse Foundation, and Les Dames d’Escoffier – NOLA Chapter. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University in New Orleans, her hometown. Shortly after graduation she moved to NYC, well really Hoboken, NJ to try her hand in the finance world. It was short lived! Her creative right brain and passion for community service would lead her on many different paths and directions such as; co-producing a Crawfish Festival in New Jersey, founding a dog adoption agency called “It’s a Ruff, Ruff Life”, and writing for the Northshore Conifer as a food critic. Elizabeth’s commitment to service is a reflection of her love of the St. Ignatius teachings. She feels actions are more powerful than words which is why she donates her time to various business Boards such as the East Jefferson Business Association and the Fidelity POWER advisory board.
